Seoul Shinmun reported on BiX's development of DeepScout, an AI model intended to support earlier multi-cancer diagnosis. The article notes that late detection sharply reduces survival and that current AI models can be constrained by noisy images and fragmented organ-specific information.
DeepScout analyzes lesions and pre-cancerous signs across multiple organs and combines clinical information with quantitative CT data. Its image-quality technology is designed to restore low-quality scans so clinicians can receive more consistent information without relying only on ideal imaging conditions.
BiX reported 95% diagnostic accuracy for liver, biliary-tract, and pancreatic multi-cancer analysis. The underlying work was supported by 23 domestic and international patents and 27 academic publications, including research in international SCI journals.
The company plans to provide detailed diagnostic reports through a subscription-based B2B model and connect the platform with hospital workflows. It was conducting proof-of-concept work with Korean hospitals and discussing multinational data and deployment with a national hospital in Thailand.
BiX's roadmap includes expansion to additional abdominal and thoracic organs, Korean and international authorization, and broader commercialization. The company described its long-term goal as improving early diagnosis, reducing medical costs, and contributing to public health.
